First of all, looking at Justice Anthony Kennedy’s record, why would President Trump want him to retire anyway?
But according to The New Republic, Trump had a “shady” relationship with Justice Kennedy and just maybe induced him to retire, giving Trump another Supreme Court pick.
Yes, we’re back to that loan that Justice Kennedy’s son gave to Trump that gave Neera Tanden the vapors, even though MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle, who worked with Justin Kennedy at Deutsche Bank, debunked the whole thing.
However, law professor and U.S. Senate candidate Richard W. Painter isn’t satisfied and thinks he’s found a way to stall Trump from appointing another justice before the big blue wave in November: demand that the Senate Judiciary Committee investigate the relationship between Trump and Kennedy.
The circumstances of Justice Kennedy’s resignation must be investigated by the Senate Judiciary Committee before any replacement is considered. The Constitution does not give Trump the power to use underhanded means to induce Supreme Court resignations.https://t.co/S6m5oLg9mV

One serious question we need to address before we proceed to the others: Are you on crack? ?

This is dumbest thing I’ve ever read

The man is 81 yrs old for crying out loud he’s allowed to retire. ?
— catie lord (@tudsgrl) June 30, 2018
Obviously. Because at 81, he's far too young to consider retiring under normal circumstances.

What in God’s name are you talking about, the man is 81 years old. Is there anything #Democrats will not do or say to attack our duly elected President & divide America
— Liberty Doc (@libertydoc82) June 30, 2018
You've lost your mind….. The man is 81. Perhaps, just perhaps, he'd like to spend his last few years on the planet lounging by the pool, etc. Not everything is a conspiracy, ya know, unless, of course, you wanna rile people up for political purposes. Nah, *that* never happens.

Keep grasping at those straws

No. You are absolutely NOT going to use our #tax dollars for your sour grapes. That man served admirably and wants to retire. Don’t think for one second that this type of propaganda didn’t add to his decision. Cut it out.

What “underhanded means”? This article says Trump complimented Kennedy’s son and nominated Gorsuch who clerked for Kennedy, and Ivanka visited his chambers as his guest. What is underhanded?
— Eric Columbus (@EricColumbus) June 30, 2018
Wow @POTUS was really playing the long game when he told Reagan to nominate Kennedy for #SCOTUS 30 years ago just in case he needed some loans for his business from Kennedy’s son prior to running for the presidency. Or maybe #LiberalLunacy has just hit peak mental illness…

So glad our country dodged the Hillary Bullet. You are all lunatics.
