As Twitchy reported, the media was more concerned with the jacket Melania Trump wore to board an airplane than they were about her visit to a social services center in McAllen, Texas for children apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border. It was a $39 number from ZARA that read, “I really don’t care, do u?” on the back — curious optics for a trip to the border.
No less than President Trump weighed in on #Jacketgate soon after and posited that FLOTUS was trolling “the fake news media.”
“I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?” written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!

I really don't care either. Thank you, Mr. President. https://t.co/UuQQl5ZDWB

It does kind of make sense, after the media went nuts when the first lady wore stiletto heels to board a helicopter on her way to survey hurricane damage in Houston (and yes, she changed shoes on the plane). Hey, people have actually commented on Barron Trump’s T-shirts too.
This really is the most lit timeline

Is it lit?
Yes.
Is it lit AF?
Oh, yes. Very much so. https://t.co/gfJIr4Lv0f

I think it's safe to say FLOTUS doesn't care what y'all think about her jacket. And she's wondering why you do care. https://t.co/NmI2UE3oVa

POTUS steps on the statement FLOTUS Comms Director made earlier today that there was no hidden message in the jacket. People should know that Mrs. Trump closely follows her press mentions and her husband’s press mentions and will often flag stories for him. https://t.co/tsrpi7KIA6

Trust us; there will be plenty of press mentions to follow.
Which one is it? The First Lady's office said this was just a jacket. https://t.co/39AyQsg6tL

Trump contradicts @FLOTUS staff, who says it’s just a jacket, with no hidden meaning. Trump also fans media flames, even after @FLOTUS staff said press should focus on her trip, not her clothes. https://t.co/6yZ8HpOW0L

Whoa … is she saying that President Trump likes to fan the media flames? That’s not like him — having just returned from a rally in Duluth where the crowd chanted, “CNN sucks!”
Making the jacket issue bigger and using it to swipe the media. https://t.co/mEFOQDrLpc

Yeah, that’s kind of what he does.

Oh don't worry. Not forgetting that jacket anytime soon https://t.co/KY9menc6CN

More jacket takes, please. I simply can't get enough.
