As Twitchy reported Tuesday, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley spit hot fire after White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow suggested she might have been suffering from some “momentary confusion” with regard to the status of sanctions against Russia.
“With all due respect, I don’t get confused,” Haley fired back in a statement, prompting an apology from Kudlow, who explained, “the policy was changed and she wasn’t told about it, so she was in a box.”
CNN’s Dana Bash admitted she was a little late getting around to praising Haley’s statement, but she considers it “one of the best by a female leader.”
I know it was like 12 news cycles ago at this point, but @nikkihaley quote "With all due respect, I don't get confused" should go down as one of the best by a female leader. Ever. Said so much, with so few words.

Yes it did! It was a northern, political version of "Bless your heart." https://t.co/nQ5facdGAN

Is it possible her use of "with all due respect" was her version of "Bless your heart"? I really hope so. https://t.co/Kxgyp1JxIN

#mansplaining taken down in 1 fell swoop. Though I'm not a big fan of some @nikkihaley policy positions, this statement is gold. https://t.co/O710oKAdqK

MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace agreed with Bash:
I agree with @DanaBashCNN 1000 percent! https://t.co/Z4OWL0kj5o

National scold Matthew Dowd would like Wallace and company to put to rest any ideas of Haley running for president in 2020, though; Trump is just too popular.
Reality time: At this moment, no one can beat President Trump in a GOP primary battle. The GOP base loves Trump. He has an 85% approval rating among GOP voters. He is the most popular person among GOP voters. Let’s stop with the Haley talk. @NicolleDWallace

No, let’s keep going with the Haley talk — the Haley 2024 talk, to be more precise.
Hope springs eternal my love. #idontgetconfused https://t.co/QycdHuBntY

(By the way, any advice today from Dowd for the Dems on newly announced 2020 prospect Eric Holder? How’s that primary shaping up?)
