Here’s some good employment news: FBI Director Christopher Wray announced Tuesday that he’s doubling the number of FBI agents working records requests from House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte.

Goodlatte — who along with House Oversight and Government Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) is investigating alleged bias at the Justice Department — last week issued a subpoena to obtain documents related to how the FBI handled its probe into Hillary Clinton’s email server and potential surveillance abuses.
…
Specifically, lawmakers want to see a tranche of over a million documents examined by Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is conducting a parallel probe into decisionmaking during the 2016 election.
Wray announced in a statement Tuesday that he was “doubling the number of assigned FBI staff, for a total of 54, to cover two shifts per day from 8 a.m. to midnight to expedite completion of this project.” The committee has received about 3,000 documents so far.
Kurt Eichenwald isn’t happy to know his tax dollars are going to the FBI so they can dig up documents.
GOD ALMIGHTY!!! To deal with @GOP ENDLESS attempts to politicize investigation into the undeniable hacking of our election, @FBI now has more than FIFTY people working 8:00AM to 12AM searching for documents about HILLARY CLINTON!!!! https://t.co/AP9WCCiR7w

….so: @RepGoodlatte. You are spending ALL the taxes I EVER paid on some BS "let's investigate Hillary so @FoxNews gets aroused." You are attacking our intel services and law enforcement. What is wrong with u that u turn a KNOWN attack on Western democracies into a clown show?
— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) March 28, 2018
…and going after a counterintelligence and criminal investigation AS IT IS TAKING PLACE???? Do you ONLY have contempt for our American patriots, or is it something you reserve for those moments when you are selling out our country for your party's political news-cycle?

We all pay taxes too, and we’ve gotta say, we’re not quite so upset as Eichenwald here. We’re paying for the Robert Mueller investigation too, so maybe he’d like to send us a thank you note for helping him foot that bill.
Respectfully, it’s not politicizing to those folks. Anymore than it is politicizing to those of use who believe in what Mueller is doing.
Have at it, I say. Exhaust every lead. Let’s be done with all of it. At this point I trust the FBI more than any entity in our system. Go. https://t.co/lq2zqXa7q5
