Kurt Eichenwald upset all the taxes he ever paid are going to FBI's effort to dig up Clinton docs

Here’s some good employment news: FBI Director Christopher Wray announced Tuesday that he’s doubling the number of FBI agents working records requests from House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte.

The Hill reports:

Goodlatte — who along with House Oversight and Government Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) is investigating alleged bias at the Justice Department — last week issued a subpoena to obtain documents related to how the FBI handled its probe into Hillary Clinton’s email server and potential surveillance abuses.

Specifically, lawmakers want to see a tranche of over a million documents examined by Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is conducting a parallel probe into decisionmaking during the 2016 election.

Wray announced in a statement Tuesday that he was “doubling the number of assigned FBI staff, for a total of 54, to cover two shifts per day from 8 a.m. to midnight to expedite completion of this project.” The committee has received about 3,000 documents so far.

Kurt Eichenwald isn’t happy to know his tax dollars are going to the FBI so they can dig up documents.

We all pay taxes too, and we’ve gotta say, we’re not quite so upset as Eichenwald here. We’re paying for the Robert Mueller investigation too, so maybe he’d like to send us a thank you note for helping him foot that bill.
