A new poll taken by The Economist and YouGov over the past month shows some surprising views on what exactly constitutes sexual harassment in five Western countries.
Over-friendly, or sexual harassment? It depends partly on whom you ask https://t.co/dae5uRMcCq

The poll found that younger people are much more likely to consider things sexual harassment.
One consistent pattern that emerged was a generation gap. In general, younger respondents were more likely to think that a behaviour crossed the line than their older peers were. For example, over half of British women under 30 said that wolf-whistling was unacceptable. Less than a fifth of those over 64 felt that way.
In the United States, for example, more than a third of young adults of both sexes said they’d consider it sexual harassment if a man who was not a romantic partner commented on a woman’s attractiveness.
Over 1/3 of American young adults think it's "always/usually" sexual harassment if a man who not a woman's romantic partner compliments her looks.
About 1 in 4 young women say it's always/usually SH if he asks her out for a drink.Doomed.https://t.co/V4ULCAt7r0

Just because people think that's "sexual harassment" doesn't mean it actually is.
Compliments aren't sexual harassment.
