New harassment charges surface after Fox News pulls Eric Bolling from air following story alleging lewd texts

Fox News host Eric Bolling did not appear Saturday for “Cashin’ In” and might not be seen for a while on the network following a HuffPost story Friday that alleged he sent lewd text messages to female colleagues, and a follow-up piece Saturday in which a former Fox News guest accused him of sexual harassment.

Yashar Ali reported Saturday evening that Caroline Heldman, who appeared on Fox News between 2008 and 2011, accused Bolling of being one of three Fox News/Fox Business employees who sexually harassed her:

“I did hundreds of appearances on Fox and Fox Business from 2008 – 2011, and had multiple experiences with Bolling that caused grave concern to my friends and family. Bolling referred to me as ‘Dr. McHottie’ on air on four different occasions, and called me ‘smart, beautiful, and wrong’ on air twice,” Heldman wrote in her Facebook post.

“My only surprise is that it took this long for people to come forward about Bolling’s behavior, which has been wildly inappropriate for years,” Heldman wrote on Facebook in response to Friday’s report that Bolling had sent lewd texts.

Ali reported Friday that he spoke to a dozen sources who alleged that Bolling “sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News.” Ali added that “the messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.”

Bolling’s attorney issued a statement calling the claims untrue and unfair.

There certainly seems to be a pattern going on, but is it a pattern of Fox News making some really poor hiring choices or a pattern of sexual harassment charges leading to firings and suspensions if not criminal charges?
