Tough guy who suffered temporary PTSD firing a gun not too bothered by assassination of 'Putin's lackey'

Plenty have witnessed the assassination of Andrei Karlov, Russia’s ambassador to Turkey, as the fatal shooting was caught on video Monday as Karlov was giving a speech at a gallery in Ankara.

It didn’t take long for the White House to issue a statement condemning the “heinous attack on a member of the diplomatic corps” and offering thoughts and prayers to the family of Ambassador Karlov. “We stand united with Russia and Turkey in our determination to confront terrorism in all of its forms,” the statement concludes.

Thoughts and prayers were not forthcoming from New York Daily News columnist Gersh Kuntzman.

Wow, that’s cold. We weren’t exactly crying, but damn.

That’s pretty hard-hearted, especially considering Kuntzman was one of about 50,000 reporters who got his hands on an evil AR-15 rifle after the terrorist attack on the Pulse nightclub, but the only one we know of who claimed to have suffered “temporary PTSD” from firing one at a gun range. But if the only thing standing between an ambassador and a lectern is a jihadi with a gun …

The Daily News must have thought better of it, having changed the headline to something a little less callous.

The change obviously wasn’t Kuntzman’s idea, though.

Dang, he is like a hardcore pajama boy, and those plaid flannels must be chafing something fierce.
