President Obama is sad.
What is it now? Aleppo? Mosul?
Actually, he’s sad because Friday marked the final night of one of his favorite traditions: musical night at the White House. Friday’s lineup included Jill Scott, The Roots, Bell Biv DeVoe, Janelle Monae, De La Soul, Yolanda Adams, Michelle Williams, Kiki Sheard, and Usher.

“It’s with a little bit of bittersweetness that this is our final musical evening as president and first lady,” the president remarked, adding that music night was “one of the perks of the job that I will miss most, along with Air Force One, and Marine One.”
How many times does the man have to drop the hint? He needs his own helicopter, and time is of the essence.
"This is one of the perks of the job I’ll miss most," @POTUS said of the musical performances at the WH. Also Air Force One and Marine One.

It might seem petty, but man, does this guy go on about that plane and that helicopter. Just last month, he told historian Doris Kearns Goodwin about all the presidential perquisites he’d miss.
"I will miss Air Force One. I will miss Marine One," Pres Obama to @DorisKGoodwin on the perks he'll miss upon leaving office. .

This is not a new phenomenon, by the way. He’s been going on about losing Air Force One for a year or more, during his commencement address to the U.S. Air Force Academy class of 2016 and at a DNC fundraiser last fall.

And he laments his presidency is nearing an end, his WH lease running out and losing use of Air Force One. "Wish I had miles," he said.

Oh, and in case you missed it, President Travelocity kicked off this weekend’s presidential address with a reminder that he’s really going to miss Air Force One:
Hi everybody. I’m going to be honest with you – one of the best parts of being President is having your own plane. And I’m going to miss it. A lot. Because up until I ran for this office, I was mostly flying coach.
Something tells us President Obama isn’t going to be leaving the White House “dead broke.”
