UNDERMINED: Has CNN pulled the welcome mat out from under Donna Brazile?

One thing’s clear from even a cursory overview of the hacked emails released this week by WikiLeaks: Democrats and mainstream journalists aren’t exactly shy about communicating with and about each other.

After interim DNC chair Donna Brazile found herself caught up in a WikiLeaks dump on Tuesday that appeared to show her, as a CNN contributor, in touch with the Clinton campaign about a CNN/TV One town hall question that could prove tricky for Hillary to answer, she issued a denial that suggested hacking by the Russians was a far more pressing concern.

What does CNN have to say about all of this? Not much, it seems, and the network doesn’t appear anxious to bring Brazile on to tell her side of the story. Have things gotten a little too close for comfort?

Maybe the election will go well enough for Clinton that Brazile, the Democrats, and CNN can get back to business as usual and avoid an awkward Thanksgiving dinner.

For the record, that #Fear hashtag is a call back to this tweet:

That settles that, almost. Brian Stelter is still on the good list.

Definitely on the naughty list is Politico, which claims to have some more of that false evidence that appears real, in the form of an email “written by town hall co-moderator Roland Martin on the day of the town hall to CNN producers” that “shows him using word for word the language of a question that Brazile appeared to have sent to the Clinton campaign a day earlier.”

Hillary does always seem super-glad when surprised with those unexpected questions.
