Hey Colin Kaepernick, check out this Marine who didn't stand for the national anthem either

As Twitchy reported, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem prior to the start of his team’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, explaining that he was “not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color.”

Kaepernick knew his show of non-patriotism would be controversial, but said that the issues he was addressing were “bigger than football.”

To be honest, just about everything is bigger than football, and Nick Short scored big-time Saturday with his tweet of a Marine standing taller than the 6-foot-4 Kaepernick ever could.

The man in the photo is Marine Corps Sgt. Zachary Stinson, pictured with members of the 2012 Olympic men’s basketball team. He lost both of his legs to an IED in Afghanistan in 2010.

Short’s tweet has garnered more than 2,500 likes so far, and that’s not nearly enough.
