In the wake of the terror attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., that left 49 patrons dead, many gays are arming themselves, adding the #ShootBack hashtag to the Pride flag, and taking advantage of free license to carry courses.
While it might seem that participants in LGBT events like this weekend’s San Francisco’s Pride Parade would appreciate an increased police presence after the Pulse massacre, that doesn’t take into consideration the ever-shifting liberal hierarchy of grievances. Islamist terrorists are bad, but what about police?
ABC7 reports that Black Lives Matter, which was to serve as organizational grand marshal of the parade in honor of its “For Racial and Economic Justice” theme, withdrew after learning that more police would be added to guard the festivities.

Once again, Black Lives Matter isn’t pulling out of the parade because of a lack of security; the organization is turning down the role of grand marshal because of the extra security.

ABC7 quotes Malkia Cyril of Black Lives Matter as explaining that, “As queer people of color, we are disproportionately targeted by both vigilante and police violence. We know first hand that increasing the police presence at Pride does not increase safety for all people.”
Two other groups joined in releasing a statement saying that “law enforcement creates unsafe conditions in queer communities of color.”

Just like "arm everyone" is a terrible answer, "more police" is a terrible answer. https://t.co/SkxfDl8chF

Then the correct answer is …?
