This was prescient:

That might be true, but our current concern isn’t the presidential primary but the prestigious Hugo award, recognizing excellence in science fiction and fantasy. This week in the Los Angeles Times, Michael Schaub investigated the tampering process that led to the nomination of Chuck Tingle’s “Space Raptor Butt Invasion.”

As for the culprit, Schaub fingers Vox Day, libertarian leader of the Rabid Puppies, a group who “oppose diversity initiatives and support lists that are dominated by white men.”
George R.R. Martin of “Game of Thrones” fame “has criticized both the puppies’ agenda and their aesthetic” and told the Guardian this week, “When the Hugo ballot came out last year, it was not just a right-wing ballot, it was a bad ballot.”
Nevertheless, Day celebrated both the successful gaming of the nominations by the Rabid Puppies and Donald Trump’s five-state sweep on Tuesday.

Congratulations #RabidPuppies! You DID #MakeTheHugosGreatAgain!

Martin presumably won’t be happy with this year’s “far-right” slate of nominees, which include Day’s “SJWs Always Lie: Taking Down the Thought Police,” which features a forward by Milo Yiannopoulos, “the endlessly controversial British journalist known for his ultra-conservative politics.”
Oh, and for those wondering: “Space Raptor Butt Invasion” is about just what you’d assume it’s about.
A book I just indexed for work was called Space Raptor Butt Invasion. Yes, it was about a dude fucking a raptor in space.

I hope Space Raptor Butt Invasion is in the Hugo packet; I don't want to buy it and mess up my Amazon recommendations for the next decade.

Hugo Awards chicanery: second verse, same as the first.

The whole argument that this is about getting higher quality SF on the Hugo ballot goes out the window w/ Space Raptor Butt Invasion.

Hugo award nominee Tingle celebrated by quickly banging out an e-book.
