At a rally in Rome, New York on Tuesday, Donald Trump was on a roll naming the many great endorsements he’d received. One small problem: he rolled a bit too far and claimed that he’d been endorsed by Bob Vander Plaats, president and CEO of The Family Leader, as well as national co-chair of Ted Cruz for President. Oops.
Donald Trump confuses his evangelicals, claiming Cruz supporter Bob Vander Plaats is a Trump endorser from Liberty University.

We think this is the wrong guy.
So sorry @realDonaldTrump, I'm "Cruzin" to the nomination with @tedcruz! No interest in "Art of the Deal." #Loyal https://t.co/Y38DqxBi0J

A Trump spokesperson clarified that the candidate had meant to name Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr. Somewhere, Vice President Joe Biden is looking out a window and thinking, “Now that’s a gaffe.”
