While President Obama occasionally remembers that he shot a video on Air Force One promising two free years of community college to anyone willing to work for it, Bernie Sanders has been promising a free college education for everyone since the beginning of the campaign. That plan could be problematic, though. Sanders wants to free students from working in factories and on farms, but what if an ambitious millennial would like to study agricultural science?
At Thursday night’s debate in Wisconsin, Sanders sounded as if his free college plan was meant to free the population from the “massive despair” of manual labor.
Sanders said people shouldn't have to work farms. Forget the fact that Americans need to eat. #PBSdebate
