We at Twitchy have for quite a while been compiling headlines that report the deaths of Palestinians while omitting any context — usually that the Palestinians were killed by police during an attack. Yair Rosenberg, senior writer for Tablet Magazine, noted one of these heavily truncated headlines today on the CBS News web site.

Both Arabs & Jews are suffering from Islamic terror & this is what CBS writes?

That’s not that far off from Al Jazeera English’s take.

That's twisting the facts.3 Palestinian terrorists fired on police officers, wounded 2 & were then killed by police. https://t.co/a8ALnOxoBP

So, could we get a little more detail on actually happened?
Today's attack in Jerusalem a step up: 3 heavily armed assailants traveled from Jenin, opened fire when spotted. Not lone wolves w knives

The Associated Press reports that the three Palestinians who were killed were armed with automatic weapons, explosive devices and knives, and managed to kill an Israeli security officer and seriously wound another before being shot by police. Police then defused the explosives the attackers were carrying.
While security officers stopped one of the three men to check his ID, the other two drew guns and knives and attacked two female officers. Hadar Cohen, 19, later died.

Update:
It took CBS three tries before they managed to find an adequate headline to tell about a Jerusalem terror attack https://t.co/vdaoAQpxXg

The Times of Israel noted the outrage on Twitter, as well as the second attempt at a headline by CBS News.
The almost daily failure of Western news outlets to distinguish btwn Palestinian attackers & Israelis responding, indicates deep moral rot
