We agree with Ronan Farrow here — “that moment” is worth a hard second look. Which moment from Thursday’s GOP debate are we talking about, exactly? To many, it was the moment when moderator Megyn Kelly revealed her bigotry against Muslims by suggesting that the neighbors of the San Bernardino terrorists should have called the police — because they saw Muslims having a lot of packages delivered.
Farrow posted a clip as proof of Kelly’s “casual bigotry.”

Megyn Kelly thinks that if you see Muslims you need to call the police #GOPDebate

So does Megyn Kelly think the presence of Muslims grounds for calling the cops?

THEY SAW MUSLIMS!
MUSLIMS! IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!
Megyn Kelly is a fine journalist btw

@RonanFarrow @Dylawn4 OH MY GOD… the fact that she was comfortable just… saying that. pic.twitter.com/d2MnUGSlGK

That is an awfully short clip if you’re looking to prove someone is racist. Is it possible that it was taken out of context? Kelly was having an exchange with Gov. Chris Christie about profiling, which he opposes, and how he squares that with something like the San Bernardino mass shooting.
When Christie asserted that neighbors of the killers knew that “these folks had weapons, they knew that they were talking about trying to take our country and attack it,” Kelly corrected him: “Neighbors said they saw men going in and out of the garage. They saw packages being delivered. They saw Muslims and they did not think that was enough to call the cops. Do you?”
In other words, Kelly denied that anyone knew the couple had weapons or plans for a terrorist attack; all they knew was that the Muslim couple had a lot of packages delivered to their house, and that was no reason to call the police. Did Christie think it was?
@RonanFarrow @AndrewNiclaASU meh that was totally taken out of context.

@derickwallerTV @RonanFarrow that's the fun of vine

@RonanFarrow This is disingenuous. She was bringing these examples up specifically to show neighbours did NOT see anything suspicious.
— DAJR (@Deeyeggz) January 29, 2016
@RonanFarrow @TheDukeWindsor She was responding to Chris Christie implying people should've called the cops before. Did you not see that?
— DAJR (@Deeyeggz) January 29, 2016
@RonanFarrow I took this as her saying them being Muslim should NOT be enough to call the cops, as in that's profiling…?

@RonanFarrow taken out of context man. I by no means support her or any of them up there but she was asking a question.

Ronan Farrow heard an out-of-context, 12-second Vine clip, he heard a Fox News host say “Muslim,” and he called Megyn Kelly a “casual bigot.” Would you?
