Democracy, said President Obama near the conclusion of his final State of the Union speech, “does require basic bonds of trust between its citizens.” Those are long gone, thanks to the great divider, but democracy as well requires a willingness to compromise. Valerie Jarrett particularly liked that line, and might even have written it.
"Democracy grinds to a halt without a willingness to compromise."

If that was meant as some sort of call to action for Congress or yet another component of President Obama’s legacy, no one noticed.
@vj44 Says the biggest jackass that ever occupied the White House. Name one thing, just one you people have compromised on.

Okay let's compromise – starting with planned parenthood federal funding and go from there. https://t.co/SrskHP8vY4

@vj44 Well, coming from you, that statement is a special kind of stupid.

Obamacare? People just didn’t understand how much they’d love it until it had been passed into law.
@vj44 Funny, coning from a person whose party locked out the GOP when writing ObamaCare

@vj44 Where was the "willingness to compromise" when you forced Obamacare down our throats?
— I Took The Red Pill❌ (@ITTRP) January 13, 2016
@vj44 OK have Obama compromise with congress and stop executive actions !
— Danny Joe (@clearfieldking) January 13, 2016
@vj44 you know what's weird? The most unwilling to compromise is the only one with the power of Executive Order……weird, huh?
