As Twitchy reported, Sen. Ted Cruz was the first of the GOP presidential candidates to tweet in response to the Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado Springs. Cruz offered prayers for “the loved ones of those killed, those injured and first responders who bravely got the situation under control” and was quickly set upon by those who wanted him to stop praying and “do something.” “Praying does nothing for anyone,” said one follower.
@scottbix Instead of doing anything substantial, I'm going to beg an invisible man in the sky to intervene

Following today’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., Republicans were again criticized for offering prayers rather than promises of gun control. Even with practically no details yet available, offers of prayers are a bad thing, because they don’t ban guns or something.

On learning of the shooting, the current Democrat president managed to call for gun control reform and send out a thought to the victims and their families. At least he didn’t mention prayers.

Official GOP position: "Praying." "God bless." "Praying." "Thoughts and prayers." "Praying." "Thoughts and prayers." pic.twitter.com/OyW3fQvm4w

Would Hillary Clinton’s response be negated if she added her thoughts and prayers? Maybe: It’s hard to forget when God was added back into the Democratic party platform in 2012 among loud boos from the crowd at the Democratic convention.
Official Dem position: Screw praying. Let's exploit this tragedy for political gain & to push unrelated policy. https://t.co/I2MMg6kgv9

@scottbix it beats jumping to unfounded conclusions. We need that wisdom in the White House. @drawandstrike

@scottbix While shooting is still ongoing. HRC, Markos, O'Malley & others have already blamed the NRA & called for more gun control.

True. And on top of that, the mainstream media’s position now is to find out how close the nearest Planned Parenthood clinic is and if it’s safe.
"Praying for victims doesn't accomplish anything!"
So you think the real solution is non-stop tweets condemning the prayers?

Intelligent adults comprehend that sometimes there is nothing that can be done. Praying can't hurt. https://t.co/LAH4qMBqGF
