A C-130 transport plane reportedly crashed today in Afghanistan, killing everyone on board, including six U.S. service members. The others on board were civilian contractors.

Michael van Poppel reports that the crash also killed two Afghan civilians on the ground.

NBC News reports that the civilian contractors were training Afghan security forces as part of Operation Resolute Support, and there were no reports of hostile activity in the area at the time of the crash.
