There was a party atmosphere at Joint Base Andrews this afternoon as a specially selected group waited for Pope Francis to land on American soil for the first time. Well before his plane touched down on the tarmac, the waiting crowd decided to try out a few chants to greet him.
I've learned that DC Catholics waiting for the Pope can't chant to save their lives. After all that practice at sporting events?#PopeInDC

"Ho ho, hey hey, welcome to the USA" is the chant the crowd decided to use to welcome the Pope into this country, just FYI.

"Ho ho hey hey, welcome to the USA" is what you chant to the Pope? WTF is WRONG with you people. This is why the world hates us.
