The fatal shooting of a professor at Delta State University today might have happened on campus, but it doesn’t quite match what we usually consider as a “school shooting” with mass casualties seemingly picked at random. This really does look like “workplace violence,” with one faculty member targeted by another in his office.
Nonetheless, it was a terrifying situation for students and more fodder for those who demand some sort of comprehensive gun control passed immediately.

Every single presidential candidate should be forced to answer where they stand on #campuscarry and lax gun laws Delta State #gunsense

Steven Crowder points out that Delta State is a member of the Campaign to Keep Guns Off Campus, founded in the wake of shootings at school shootings at Virginia Tech in 2007 and Northern Illinois University in 2008.
The Campaign to Keep Guns Off Campus, which doesn’t seem to have prevented any gun crimes, retweeted a tweet about the shooting.
Seems the issue of campus carry was meaningless to the prof who killed his girlfriend and then another prof. Would have ignored anyway.

@DLoesch We clearly need more laws to prevent this type of thing! I mean, the shooter must have only broken 5 or 6 in committing his crime!

Violating a gun free zone is nothing compared to committing murder.

@DLoesch He's in serious trouble if he didn't abide by the "no-gun" sticker on the door.
