One day after insisting that no apology was needed, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told ABC News’ David Muir in an exclusive interview that using a personal email server and address while serving as secretary of state “was a mistake.”

It might not seem newsworthy, but as ABC News reported, “This is the farthest Clinton has gone yet in offering an apology for her use of a private email server while Secretary of State.” In other words, whether she ends up in the White House or the big house, “I’m sorry about that” might be the most we’ll ever get out of Clinton regarding her email scandal, so we’re glad it’s preserved on video.

@WilliamsJon @brithume @DavidMuir Are you kidding me? Now?!?! Now she is sorry and takes responsibility? Not the actions of a true leader.

No. Next question?
@WilliamsJon @brithume @DavidMuir "Taking Responsibility" means paying the penalty for handing out Top Secret info.

@WilliamsJon @brithume @DavidMuir No one in this administration is EVER held responsible. Just words. If you and I tried that, wouldn't work

@WilliamsJon @brithume @DavidMuir So, what's that supposed to mean? It's all better now? She's sorry she did "what was allowed"?

@WilliamsJon @brithume @DavidMuir a little too late, I might say. Speak to us from your cell.

@WilliamsJon @brithume @DavidMuir Finally "sorry" and admits "mistake" after polls tell her she'd better. Good start for new "spontaneity."

@WilliamsJon @brithume @DavidMuir ..taking responsibility would be her swinging the door shut to her cell after putting on orange pantsuit

Clinton was fortunate to find a focus group that works evenings and on national holidays before digging her hole any deeper.
