With protesters gathered outside the courthouse in Baltimore this morning, a judge today ruled that State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby will remain on the #FreddieGray case, despite requests from the attorneys for the police officers charged that she recuse herself from the case.
Sweeping victory for Marilyn Mosby in #freddiegray case. Judge denies both defense motions, calls some defense arguments "mind boggling."

In May, Mosby announced that a grand jury had returned indictments against six officers charged in connection with the death of Freddie Gray, who died of a spinal injury allegedly sustained while in police custody. Charges range from second degree depraved heart murder to involuntary manslaughter to reckless endangerment.
Protests are planned for tonight, but there was one high-profile arrest earlier today when activist Kwame Rose (who nearly ended up in a fight with Geraldo Rivera, who was covering the riots for Fox News) was taken into custody after some say he was struck by a car.

In the meantime, police are readying themselves for more protests tonight, even though Mosby pulled off a victory in court today.

Update: Police Commissioner Kevin Davis announced that Rose is being charged with making a false statement. Could this mean he wasn’t really struck by a car as he claimed?
