Greta Van Susteren reviews the video of Chris Christie and Obama, apologizes: 'That's no hug'

“On the Record With Greta Van Susteren” Thursday night featured a lengthy in-person interview of Republican presidential candidate Gov. Chris Christie, which Van Susteren spiced up with a shocking admission.

What? People have been saying since even before Christie announced his run that his hug with President Obama following a tour of Superstorm Sandy damage had forever cost him their votes.

We swear we remember them at the very least walking along the boardwalk and holding hands. Let’s go to the videotape.

Christie told the Philadelphia Inquirer in 2013, “It was a handshake like you would shake hands with anyone. It was a perfectly natural, casual, normal type of greeting between two people. And you know, it’s become legend.”

It certainly has, as demonstrated by the sparks that few during the first Republican primary debate.

This isn’t a handshake, and it isn’t quite a hug. It’s definitely not a Christie campaign poster.
