#RSG15 'far more important than Thursday's debate': RedState Gathering 2015 promises to be epic

If the debate stage in Cleveland Thursday night seems a little crowded with conservatives, just remember one thing: that’s nothing compared to this weekend’s much-anticipated RedState Gathering 2015 at the Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, Ga., which will feature eight presidential candidates along with a star-studded lineup of conservative power players from government, the media, and conservative think tanks.

Hosted by RedState, confirmed speakers include presidential candidates Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, and Scott Walker, along with more distinguished guests than we can list here.

As a bonus, RedState editor-in-chief promises to keep things civil, unlike certain liberal conventions.

This year features the theme, “Vision 2020.” Rather than indulge in a Barack Obama blame fest or list of 50-point policy plans, Erickson says, “I hope to get as many of the 2016 Republican field as I can to come show us their vision for America with 2020 foresight. The multi-point plans will be no good if the Republican nominee cannot convey the public that he cares. We need to find that happy warrior.”

Following Thursday’s meet-and-greet and debate watch party will be a full weekend of speakers and panels covering Common Core, campaign technology, crony capitalism, free speech, Twitter, emerging conservative issues, and more.
