It didn’t take long for the Daily Beast to post some salacious excerpts from the early ’90s Donald Trump biography “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump” for Trump’s lawyer to come to his defense and for Twitter to turn to this.

The problem with Michael Cohen, special counsel at The Trump Organization, is that his defense of Trump — “You cannot rape your spouse. And there’s very clear case law.” — revived the name of Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin for a lot of people on both sides of the aisle.
Sen. Claire McCaskill didn’t pass up the opportunity to bring up a sore subject.
Most shocking part of this? Trump's lawyer thinks it's legal to rape your spouse. Giving Akin a run for his money. http://t.co/eB9h2KjiFc

.@groskogirl I spent years in the courtroom as a prosecutor, and it is incompetent for any lawyer to not know that rape is rape.

On the next episode of “Sen. Claire McCaskill, Former Prosecutor” (we hope):
@clairecmc @groskogirl what about storing secret documents on a private server and selling off significant amounts of US uranium to Russia?
