What’s that about? Texas does attract more than its fair share of hate when the topic is either guns or abortion, and we’re guessing today’s outrage has to do with the latter. And … it’s abortion.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the state’s requirement that abortion clinics meet ambulatory surgical center standards — which include minimum sizes for rooms and doorways, pipelines for anesthesia and other infrastructure — did not impose an undue burden on a “large fraction” of Texas women seeking abortions.
Only a handful of Texas abortion clinics — all in major metropolitan areas — meet those standards, which are costly to implement.

With some clinics that fell short of the minimum standards now closed, pro-choice advocates are arguing that that state is placing an undue burden on women who want abortions but are a long distance from the nearest clinic.
Oh, what a surprise to see Wendy Davis.

The fact that Texas' AG says #HB2 "protects the unborn" tells you everything you need to know, it's not about women's safety. #txlege #p2
