This … is not that story.
You might never have used the app-based Uber car service, but if you’ve spent any time on Twitter you’ve certainly heard about it. Still, you might not have heard of the uberPOOL service, a carpooling service which offers to cut the price of your ride in half while adding only a few minutes to your trip.
What Uber doesn’t mention is the added cost to your sanity depending on whom your co-riders happen to be. Kenneth Li, editor-in-chief of tech news startup Re/code, today dipped his big toe in the uberPOOL on the way to the airport.
In an uber pool in LA. Everyone is talking to each other. What is going on?!

It’s the magic of Uber!
Topics discussed in this uber pool ride: 1. Religion and materialism 2. How much everyone wants to move to LA 3. Kundalini yoga. Kill me.

How fast is the car going and are you sitting next to a door? Just keep in mind it could have been worse.
