Stung by recall, Blue Bell Creameries supported by prayer vigil, yard signs, and more

Following a listeria outbreak that led Blue Bell Creameries of Brenham, Texas, to pull all of its products from store shelves nationwide and shut down operations, a spokesman says the company will “reboot” operations next week, including the retraining of plant employees.

The crisis has also given the company a crash course in social media, as Blue Bell interacts with supportive customers anxious to see the ice cream return to grocery shelves. Customers have been so supportive, in fact, some have organized a prayer vigil.
