There have been calls for departing Attorney General Eric Holder to resign ever since the Fast and Furious scandal broke, and maybe even before. Imagine our surprise, then, when Holder finally announced — last September — that he was leaving as a matter of choice. It’s been the longest retirement ever, but today, Holder finally made his exit, leaving a tear in the eye of President Obama and a pile of “unfinished business” in his office trash can.

There doesn’t appear to have been a guestbook at the ceremony, so feel free to leave your farewell messages below, and don’t worry about a tear stain or two.
