Cheer up, Joe! As the weather improves ever so slightly in Washington, D.C., it looks as though Vice President Biden might get to go outside and finally watch the Secret Service fly the drone he got for Christmas.
But seriously, folks … someone already managed to land a drone on the White House lawn last month. It might not be such a bad idea for the Secret Service to sharpen its grasp on the technology.
The @SecretService announces it'll be conducting drone flight exercises in restricted airspace over DC in the coming days and weeks.

So, per Secret Service, if you see drones flying around in flight-restricted areas in DC, don't panic. Or, panic. (What are they doing?)

@markknoller Interesting. "Days and weeks" is pretty open-ended.

Sorry, Joe; it sounds like you’re personally disqualified from touching the controls.
A statement from the USSS promises the drone flights in restricted airspace will be "carefully planned and …tightly controlled."
