'Faster than ever': Sen. Ted Cruz envisions Internet under government regulation [video]

On his webpage, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) gives three reasons why the Federal Communications Commission should not regulate the Internet. “The FCC’s net neutrality plan,” he argues, “will drive up the cost of consumer Internet plans, impose billions of new taxes on the Internet, and allow a panel of five unelected bureaucrats to regulate and control every aspect of the Internet.”

The page includes videos from a speech that illustrate each point, but Cruz’ tweet includes a special “re-creation” of a presidential address at it might appear after the government takes over the Internet.

Cruz ends his video with the #DontMessWithTheNet hashtag.
