As Twitchy reported, Vox’s Max Fisher did his best today to spin President Obama’s invocation of the Crusades at the National Prayer Breakfast, responding under the headline: “Let’s be clear: The Obama Crusades controversy is over whether it’s okay to hate Muslims.” What?
“The scandal here isn’t Obama’s analogy — it’s that some critics want to see the world’s Muslims as inherently inferior.” Nice try, but no.
Breitbart’s John Sexton (@verumserum) quickly dismantled Fisher and his article in the space of a few tweets.
.@Max_Fisher would have argued during WWII that anyone who hated the Nazis was Germanophobic: http://t.co/XhTjoFd2GT

After Pearl Harbor, FDR wisely reminded us that our ancestors had killed people in sneak attacks too…so don't hate the Japanese.

No matter how many times you say that this is about a murderous ideology, not a race, people like @max_fisher just pretend not to hear it.

We destroyed the Nazis and Germany is still around and doing quite well. The same will be true of ISIS and Islam.

It is perfectly appropriate to hate the faction of Islam that is murdering people…right now in this century. It is right to do so.

After Pearl Harbor, did FDR point back to Washington crossing the Delaware to argue that, hey, we're guilty too?

"Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 a date which…is kind of similar to Washington crossing the Delaware if you think about it." – VOX FDR

David Harsanyi, senior editor of The Federalist, asks a good question: What’s the point of there being a Council on American-Islamic Relations, when Max Fisher is standing by to make sure non-Muslim Americans have their minds right?
@davidharsanyi @redsteeze Was CAIR ever necessary? NO. They are a subversive force in our nation's fight against radical Islam.
