With a “snowicane” quickly approaching, it’s not surprising that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has imposed an overnight travel ban in 13 counties, making it a misdemeanor to drive on the roads after 11 p.m. and imposing a fine of up to $300.

What has surprised a large number of New Yorkers as well as commuters from other states is that the travel ban includes the subway, which will come to a “hard stop” at 11 p.m.
