ok @msnbc already has their #SOTU countdown clock up. why.

Of all the cable news networks, CNN is the most anxious to reach for the countdown clock, whether it’s the number of seconds until a government shutdown or the time left until an asteroid grazes the earth by 3.6 million miles.
It’s a bit of a surprise, then, that CNN has passed on a countdown clock until the State of the Union address, leaving that honor to MSNBC. Maybe they picked it up at CNN’s garage sale.
MSNBC has a countdown clock for State of the Union. Is the anticipation that great?

@RBPundit @HowardKurtz I expect the whole MSNBC crew tonight will look like they went on an extended test run of the Orgasmatron. #SOTU

We know the MSNBC anchors are tingling with anticipation, but the clock does have its uses.
@HowardKurtz It's so people know when they can take their fingers out of their ears. @conkc2

@RBPundit @HowardKurtz It's definitely not as great as my countdown clock for the end of his presidency.

CBS News’ Mark Knoller has all the countdown clock you need.
Won't subject you to a SOTU countdown clock – but when the big hand is on the 12 and little hand on the 9 (ET only), the speech begins.
