In a short speech to members of the Republican National Committee holding a reception on the U.S.S. Midway, Mitt Romney revealed what many in the press are calling Mitt 3.0. Stung in 2012 by a secret recording of his remarks about “the 47 percent,” Romney wasn’t waiting for the RNC convention for wife Ann to share stories of his work on behalf of the sick and the poor.

This is not something Mitt Romney said in 2012: "People want to see rising wages, and they deserve them," he says tonight.

Mitt does something he almost never did in 2012, talking about his time as a pastor in Mormon church, helping sick and poor.
— Matt Viser (@mviser) January 17, 2015
Very different Romney tonight — talking about his work as a pastor helping the sick & elderly, focus on poverty and income inequality.

Mitt talking about his time as a Mormon pastor working with the poor and sick. This is really 3.0
— Luke Russert (@LukeRussert) January 17, 2015
It sounds more like Mitt 360º. Too much of a correction?
Romney 3.0 will forgo all stump speeches and instead campaign by visiting every soup kitchen in Iowa and NH.
