It’s been a while since we’ve seen President Obama perform an act of “Eastwooding” (substituting his presence with an empty chair, or podium in his case) like this one. The vacationing president, for example, did manage to find his way to a podium to comment on the horrific beheading of journalist James Foley, and even more remarkably found himself back on the golf course just 20 minutes later.
The president eventually did find the time after a round of golf in Hawaii to issue a brief statement on the execution-style slaying of NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.
After weeks of silence on anti-cop vigilantism, President Obama finally issues late Saturday night statement==> http://t.co/3osBMJ6A91

@PennyDreadful81 @michellemalkin It takes time to write those speeches with those little golf pencils. #NYPD #PoliceLivesMatter

A picture says a thousand words, tough, and the following photo collage that’s making the rounds on Twitter today shows that one of these things is not like the other.

@FishingwFredo @michellemalkin Hey, remember that moving speech he gave after the #NYPD hatchet attacks. Neither do I.

The president is scheduled to return from vacation, well, sometime. Does it really matter when?
