We at Twitchy enjoy the tweets of CBS News’ Mark Knoller for two reasons in particular. First, Knoller knows his stats; the Washingtonian named him “the unofficial records keeper of the presidency, the statistics savant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.” Ask him how many times Obama has played golf during his term, and Knoller will answer — leading to cries of partisan bias and reminders that George W. Bush golfed too.
Second, Knoller is a master of subtle snark: just check out this tweet about Thursday night’s DNC fundraiser at a private home.
Pres Obama now at DNC fundraiser at a private home. 25 donors paying at least $16,200 to attend. No press coverage. But you knew that.

Of course the press isn’t allowed. Even ABC’s former White House correspondent, Ann Compton, told members of the White House Correspondents’ Association recently that “it’s as if we were all carrying the Ebola virus” when it comes to gaining access to the Obama administration.

@markknoller Obama having dinner with his 1% friends. With an iron curtin separating him and his rich buddies from the American people.

@markknoller @FreeBeacon Interesting. Last month the going rate was 35,000 a plate. Probably served Lame Duck.

Who pays for presidential political travel? Mostly taxpayers. WH declines to disclose how much reimbursement is sought from DNC & campaigns.

@markknoller Great Tweet. I've been wondering that for years. Should those be counted as Campaign donations? Must account 4 everything else
