Anti-vaxxer Rob Schneider pulled as State Farm spox; Sharyl Attkisson defends

We haven’t seen much of comedian and anti-vaxxer Rob Schneider on screen lately, and investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson isn’t thrilled to learn his ads for State Farm have been pulled over his views on vaccines following a social media campaign that encouraged supporters to post on State Farm’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Brian Shilhavy, Health Impact News Editor, writes:

According to PR Week, State Farm has decided to drop an ad starring comedian Rob Schneider from its rotation due to his “anti-vaccine views” after a social media outcry.

I just sent an email to my agent, letting her know how disappointed I was to learn that State Farm had caved into the pharmaceutical and vaccine industry, an industry rife with fraud and corruption, simply because one of their actors in their advertisements sees fit to warn parents on the dangers of vaccines.
