Six Wisconsin high school seniors were cited for disorderly conduct last week while playing outside with Nerf guns. The Wausau West High School seniors were playing “Nerf Wars” when someone reported a man pointing at a car with a gun.
According to WAOW, police took the call very seriously and noted that a number of people were scared.
“Our dispatch said there were three people with firearms,” said [Captain Ben] Bliven. “So we had to respond appropriately. We wanted to do everything as safe as possible for us and for the citizens in the area.”
None of the seniors has been suspended from school, but some have been put on athletic probation.
