Last October, a federal judge blocked part of Texas’ new abortion law that requires doctors performing abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital in case emergency inpatient treatment is needed. Today, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Planned Parenthood and other clinics and upheld that requirement, as well as a mandate that abortion-inducing drugs be administered in line with FDA protocols.
