An appeals court has ruled that Kansas can strip federal funding from Planned Parenthood.
Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback in 2011 signed into law an appropriations bill that limited the recipients of federal family planning funds to public entities, hospitals, and federally qualified health centers. These restrictions disqualified two Planned Parenthood clinics in Kansas.
Kansas Rep. Tim Huelskamp welcomed the news.
