A hung jury found Michael Dunn guilty of attempted second-degree murder in a Jacksonville, Fla. courtroom Saturday night. The jury was deadlocked, though, on a charge of first-degree murder in the killing of 18-year-old Jordan Davis.
Dunn, who is white, shot 10 times at an SUV as he was parked next to four black teens playing loud music at a Jacksonville gas station in November 2012, killing Davis. Dunn claimed the shooting was in self-defense as he felt his life was threatened. Many compared the case to the George Zimmerman trial, citing Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.
BREAKING: Michael Dunn has been found GUILTY of attempted murder of the boys in the car with Jordan Davis. #DunnTrial

So Michael Dunn faces at least 60 years in prison, but ZERO years in prison (now) for killing Jordan Davis. Ah, Florida. #DunnTrial

Oh no. I can't believe this. No verdict on the most important Count. This man needs to go down for murder. #DunnTrial

I personally believe he should be found guilty of murder. He's a murderer! #DunnTrial

#DunnTrail = life sentence but should've been the death penalty! It's not a perfect verdict– it is, what it is!

10 shots. None fired back. Guilty of attempting to kill some of them, but not for actually killing Jordan Davis. Makes.. no sense #DunnTrial

Guilty on counts 2-5. Not murder. He will face decades in jail, but its not justice. Because another unarmed boy was gunned down. #DunnTrial

#DunnTrial is so confusing. Seems like only some justice was served. Some justice is no justice. Period.

This is the weirdest verdict #DunnTrial how could they convict him of attempted murder but not the murder count

Dunn will be going to jail. But a mistrial on Count 1 means that #JordanDavis did not get justice today. Jury didn't decide. #DunnTrial

Jury's inability to reach verdict on murder of #JordanDavis in #DunnTrial, continues to legitimize killing black youth in FL. Who's next?

Now how is he guilty for firing at the teenagers who are alive or but not for the teenager that is DEAD?!?! #DunnTrial

How is it possible to be found guilty of TRYING to murder the kids in car, but not of actually murdering the person you killed? #DunnTrial

I am so floored by the #DunnTrial! Floored, disappointed, pissed, and scared. The justice system just keeps failing. #RIPJordanDavis
