“I think we all know what’s going on there [at Fox News],” CNN chief Jeff Zucker told the crowd Friday at the Television Critics Association press tour. “The Republican Party is being run out of News Corp. headquarters [and] masquerading as a channel.”
RNC chairman Reince Priebus was quick to disagree, tweeting that the Republican Party speaks for itself. Leave it to Piers Morgan to troll Priebus, asking if Fox News boss Roger Ailes had approved the tweet.
Did Roger approve this? > RT @Reince Hey Jeff Zucker, we're the Republican Party and we speak for ourselves, pal. cc: @CNN @FoxNews

Earlier in the week, Ailes had taken a shot at CNN, telling The Hollywood Reporter that the network had “thrown in the towel” when it comes to news. Ailes noted that CNN and Zucker “had a big hit with a whale one night [the documentary Blackfish]. I guess he’s going to do whales a lot. If I were Discovery, I’d be worried.”
Listen up, Zucker and Ailes: this is how things really are.
People try to compare Fox to MSNBC, but Fox is really more comparable to CNN. Fox leans right. CNN leans left. MSNBC leans crazy.
