As Twitchy reported, GLAAD is probably anything but upon hearing that Phil Robertson will rejoin the rest of his family next spring to resume filming of “Duck Dynasty.” A representative of the Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT advocacy and lobbying group, told CNN that his group had been assured that the Robertsons would work with black and LGBT groups as part of the deal.
Put THAT on TV. RT @brianstelter: Human Rights Campaign rep says "we've received assurances" Robertsons will converse w/ black&LGBT groups.

The Human Rights Campaign’s Fred Sainz noted that absent from A&E’s statement on the matter was an agreement that the Robertson family was now “open to working with African-American and LGBT people to address the real harm that such anti-gay and racist comments can cause.”
Not all were impressed by that “assurance.”
Human Rights Campaign must have been bought off by A&E. HRC iscalling the suspension of 4 days fair #DuckDynasty #nojustice

@brianstelter Assurances? I wouldn't be happy unless I were personally escorting them to those meetings.

@brianstelter "Converse" about what? Phil Robertson said that he meant what he said. What is there to "converse" w/Blacks & LGBTQ about? #p2

@brianstelter @joshtpm I can't wait to see what "converse" means…likely it means "spew vile comments to their faces."

In its official statement, A&E said it will “use this moment to launch a national public service campaign promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people.”
