We can’t feel too sorry for Rupert Murdoch that he didn’t get his wish this year regarding immigration reform. The day after Barack Obama’s re-election, Murdoch tweeted that America must pass “sweeping, generous immigration reform” that makes “existing law-abiding Hispanics welcome.” (Being in the country illegally kind of makes the “law abiding” stipulation moot.)
@rupertmurdoch Better no action than yet another poorly drafted bill like ACA.

@rupertmurdoch Republicans will have more leverage in 2015 to get a better bill. No rush here

@rupertmurdoch Obama doesn't want it he want a political issue and republicans can't do it because obama and crazies WILL NOT SECURE BORDER!

@rupertmurdoch There will never be a deal. And that's a great thing for America. No "path to citizenship" aka amnesty.

@rupertmurdoch how about just enforcement of the laws that already exist. Or do you want Obamagration?

@rupertmurdoch What's wrong with today's laws? What's wrong with today's practice? Are both bad or do we just need to enforce the law?

@rupertmurdoch Why is it a pity?

Exactly. Amnesty can wait … and wait.
