Not only did Toronto Mayor Rob Ford not step down this afternoon after admitting he’d smoked crack, probably during a drunken stupor; many thought they were attending some sort of campaign kickoff event. If fact, he said he’s looking forward to running again.

That’s pretty shameless, but it gets worse.
Oh god, I was joking that Rob Ford would not resign and take this opportunity to announce his candidacy for 2014. And he pretty much is.

ONLY #RobFord could campaign for 2014 while *simultaneously* apologizing for getting caught smoking crack #TOpoli #InOneOfMyDrunkenStupors

Only Rob Ford has the chutzpah to launch his next mayoral campaign on the day he admits to smoking crack. Unfreakingbelievable.

Rob Ford may want to consider Marion Barry's successful post-crack reelection campaign: "He May Not Be Perfect, But He's Perfect for D.C."
