That Amber Alert that managed to terrify some iPhone users early Tuesday morning drew the nation’s attention to the plight of 16-year-old Hannah Anderson, who was reportedly kidnapped by James Lee DiMaggio, 40. Authorities announced Saturday night that DiMaggio had been shot and killed by FBI agents at Morehead Lake in Idaho, and Hannah Anderson was found safe, with no apparent physical injuries.
The bodies of Hannah’s mother and 8-year-old brother Ethan were found Sunday night in DiMaggio’s burning house in California.
News of her rescue sent Hannah’s name trending.
