Jesse Ventura presses ahead with suit against Chris Kyle's wife to clear name for 2016 run

Former Gov. Jesse Ventura outraged plenty when he announced he was continuing his lawsuit against slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle by asking that Kyle’s widow, Taya, be substituted as the defendant in his defamation suit. Tonight, Ventura told Piers Morgan that he needs to pursue the suit in order to clear his name in advance of a future run for office. So, it’s a campaign move of sorts. Besides, Kyle’s publisher has insurance, right?

Dragging the widow of an American hero into court so soon after his murder might seem cold, but Ventura’s choice of running mate should demonstrate his compassionate side.
