However edifying this year’s CPAC gathering will be for attendees, its organizers have provided plenty of entertainment value to the public in the run-up to the event. Who will appear — Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, and Dr. Ben Carson, for example — hasn’t caused as much of a stir as who won’t be in attendance. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie wasn’t invited, GOProud has been excluded, and today Pamela Geller of the American Freedom Defense Initiative announced that her application to speak has been ignored.

Geller, who recently won a court battle to have her pro-Israel, anti-jihad posters displayed in New York and Washington, D.C., train stations, suggests in a blog post that her articles criticizing American Conservative Union board member Grover Norquist have made her persona non grata at CPAC despite a record of standing-room-only appearances.

Looks like open-borders, soft on jihadi Grover Norquist strikes again. MT @Atlasshrugs CPAC Turns Away Pamela Geller http://t.co/IfnrEP9uRa

Those who bemoan "infighting" would rather see GOP sold off to highest foreign bidders than support activists battling to protect US. Shame.

@michellemalkin amen!

@michellemalkin I may not agree 100% w/Gellar but to exclude her from CPAC smacks of the influence of a certain board member.

Twitchy founder and CEO Malkin offers plenty of background on that “certain board member.”

Think Progress editor Judd Legum was among those declaring allegiance to #TeamGrover — reason enough to suspect CPAC has made a poor choice in dropping Geller.
Kudos to @CPACnews for deciding not to give a platform to @pamelageller's islamophobia http://t.co/LpRj0SEerv #nohate

Ha! Apparently Pamela Geller has become too much of a screeching psycho Islamophobe even for #CPAC http://t.co/Vw7rEGoRAz

Shh… You don’t want people to think you’re an Islamophobe, do you?

Will everyone keep quiet for the sake of party harmony? Let’s hope not.
I hope @sarahpalinusa will speak up at #CPAC about this http://t.co/2qwUZpr23B
